Q: What is Tier B?
A. Certain Local Exchange Carriers charge Long Distance Carriers higher rates to provide long distance to their local customers. We define specific Local Exchange Carriers that charge higher rates as Tier B carriers. If your Local Exchange Carrier is a Tier B carrier (see below**), we offer a slightly higher, yet still competitive rate program for those that are eligible.
Tier B carriers include the following: Verizon (formerly GTE territory only), Frontier, Sprint, Sprint United and Cincinnati Bell.
**Not all areas serviced by these Tier B carriers are eligible.
